Review: Rickson Gracie and Eddie Bravo walk into a Joe Rogan Podcast.

Eddie Bravo explains the Rubber Guard to Rickson Gracie

I watched the Joe Rogan Experience #524 podcast where Eddie Bravo explains the Rubber Guard to Rickson Gracie as a worthy insight into the Tenth Planet world of Eddie Bravo. I’ve never met Eddie Bravo or Rickson Gracie; I have worked with Joe Rogan on a feature film I produced called Venus & Vegas. I met Joe at the World famous Comedy Store. He was and continues to be one of the funniest and simultaneously balanced entertainers. (Note plug: Joe Rogan is hilarious in Venus & Vegas).

What I found very beneficial is hearing Eddie Bravo acknowledge and give credit to the legendary Gracie Jiu-Jitsu family for his success. In this age of people taking credit for other people’s ideas and work. Or people not acknowledging the source of their success. It was refreshing to see and hear Eddie Bravo acknowledge and share how he has been inspired by the Gracies. How he learned from the Gracies and how he went on to develop his vision and brand thanks to the Gracie Legacy.

When I first started practicing Jiu-Jitsu, my professor Ricardo “Franjinha” Miller also shared and acknowledged the same Gracie Legacy. It could be said that the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Parent was a Gracie. (Carlos Gracie → Helio Gracie → Rickson Gracie→ Many Gracies.)

Take a few minutes and gain the value available in this Joe Rogan Experience podcast from multi-generational living Jiu-Jitsu Legends. And remember to acknowledge and appreciate the people before you who have created the foundations for us to establish new pathways to success for ourselves and future generations.
